Thomson and Paramount expand service partnership: Ink Exclusive Long-term European VHS Manufacturing and Distribution Contract with Technicolor

Technicolor’s manufacturing and distribution expertise provides complete home entertainment solution for Paramount’s European VHS products

CAMARILLO, Calif., (August 5, 2002) - Technicolor Home Entertainment Services, a Thomson business and the world’s largest DVD and Videocassette manufacturer and distributor, today announced that it has signed an exclusive, long-term agreement with Paramount Home Entertainment International to manufacture Paramount VHS product for all of Europe as well as providing distribution services for the United Kingdom.

As part of the agreement, Technicolor will provide Paramount with exclusive VHS duplication services for its Videocassette products throughout Europe, including Italy, Spain, Germany, France, Benelux, Ireland, United Kingdom and Scandinavia. In addition, in the United Kingdom, Technicolor will provide comprehensive distribution services, including sales order processing/order entry, credit collection and rollout of a new retail/vendor inventory management system - providing Paramount with market leading retail, logistics and distribution support services in the United Kingdom.
